Meet Your SBC Team
Program Coordinator
Deborah Carter
Deborah is a native Cabarrus County resident and has worked with the Small Business Center since 2017. Her past work experience includes social work case management in healthcare settings, stay-at-home mom and programming for the local Chamber of Commerce. She has seen the value of services provided by SBCs through referrals made as an employee
of the chamber.

Megan Smit
Megan is eager to share her love for small business and community, and to apply her background in workforce development and program management. She also holds degrees in secondary education, organizational leadership and HR management. Megan values giving back through community engagement and service, and looks forward to doing that in her new role.

Allison Kitfield
Allison’s long career in public health and education culminated with ten years in RCCC’s Division of Corporate and Continuing Education, focused mainly on workforce development. After two years of retirement she rejoined that team part time, happy to support RCCC’s Small Business Center which provides so many resources to our community’s critical employers.
